On “Luminous” Thursdays, we encounter the repeated message that Jesus is the Son of Father. In His Baptism, we encounter Jesus’ humility and submission to consecration and baptism. In the Transfiguration, we encounter a prayerful Jesus, who is acknowledged beyond the principal figures in the faith. In both of these Biblical encounters, our Heavenly Father affirms: “This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased.” Matt. 4: 17; Matt. 17: 5. Lord, I pray that I hear and receive the Father’s message and acknowledge through my actions, Your place in my life. I pray that I always “listen to You.” Matt. 17:5.
