“Glorious” Wednesdays remind us to ascend our hearts beyond this world. We meditate upon the return of Jesus to His Father’s side. In doing so, He reminds us to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives when He says: “You will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you will be witnesses in Jerusalem.” Acts 1: 8. With the power of the promised spirit, I pray Lord that I may ascend beyond beyond my weakness and sinfulness and that my life may serve as a witness to the mercy and glory of God.
