Prayers on “Glorious” Wednesdays emphasize the closeness of Mary and Jesus. The Assumption recognizes that Jesus wishes to keep his mother by His side- a holy intimacy. Our meditation reminds us today that saints throughout time have taught us that “Mary is the perfect mold” of Jesus. Lord, melt away my selfishness, my ego so that I may pour myself into the mold of Mary, to ultimately gain closeness with her Son.
