Concluding Prayer

O God,

whose only begotten Son,

by whose life, death and Resurrection,

has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life.

Grant,

we beseech thee, that by meditating

upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

that we may imitate what they contain

and obtain what they promise,

through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

This prayer is traditionally used as a concluding prayer by many. Its source is almost as old as the traditional Rosary itself. This prayer was one of the prayers composed specifically for the Feast of the Our Lady of the Rosary to celebrate the victory at the Battle of Lepanto.
