On truly “Joyful” Mondays, we celebrate the birth of Jesus and celebrate the birth of our salvation. The son of God came into the most humble of settings: as a newborn child in the midst of poverty. Perhaps He did so to show us how far He would go to show us His love. Perhaps He did so to reach out to all of us. Irrespective of the reason, Christians are called upon to look to those humble beginnings as the source of our salvation. Lord, I pray for a humble Christ-like heart; that I may see You among the least of my brethren and that they may see a genuine Christ-like love in my heart.
