“Joyful” Saturdays promote meditation upon the birth of Jesus. Jesus was born a homeless person into the most inconvenient of economic circumstances. We repeat those special words of the Angel Gabriel in thanksgiving to Mary for giving birth to her son. His conception from Son of God and birth as son of Mary linked earthly existence with the divine. Through a growing love for Mary and her son, I pray that I will lose my attachment to this earthly existence and instead live to seek a glimpse at divinity.
