Truly “Joyful” is the Saturday that stems from a prayerful relationship with our Blessed Mother. Mary went to visit Elizabeth, either to assist her cousin or to share news of her pregnancy but whatever the reason, the result was salvation history. Mary became the first to bring Jesus to others as the First Evangelist. Upon approaching, Mary’s greeted Elizabeth and the babe in Elizabeth’s womb, leapt with recognition. Luke 1: 41-44. May Mary be our model and whatever our reason to be in the world, assisting others, sharing our individual stores, may we also carry Jesus within us so that in our voice, despite our abject humanity, people hear a glimpse of Jesus living within us.
