As we pray on Thursdays, our dark indifference is “Illumined” by the Almighty Father Himself. Twice during these mysteries, God the Father makes it clear that this “Son of Man” is indeed His Son, the beloved Son of God. Mt. 3.17; Mt. 17.5. May our stubborn deafness be finally transfigured by God’s clear voice into loving, accepting obedience.
