baptism of Jesus- icon

“Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized … .” Matt. 3: 13. On this “Luminous” Thursday, I pray to also be equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish our Father’s plan. Lord, may Your holiness cleanse me of my sinfulness as I also proclaim that you are indeed the Son of God. Empower me to serve as Your instrument. May You be well pleased with my journey.

Lent2

Some prayers of the Rosary follow a convention of praying and meditating upon only the Sorrowful mysteries during Lent and/or the Joyful mysteries during Advent. RMPTR prefers to continue its daily meditations according to the convention proposed by St. Pope John Paul II during Lent (and during Advent). We do deviate from that convention, however, during Holy Week during which we will post reflections on the Sorrowful Mysteries and during Christmas week when we post reflections on the Joyful mysteries. We pray that some of these reflections may be helpful in our respective journeys. They are not “canned” reflections. As you can probably tell, they are inspired daily as part of this author’s own spiritual journey. Thank you for your patience with our human fallibility and excuse the poor grammar and occasional misspelled words. Ad Jesum Per Mariam. Totus Tuus.
