On this “Luminous” Thursday, we recall that Jesus began his public ministry and performed his first miracle at a family gathering, a wedding. Lord, as we gather with our families at weddings, dinners, lunches, or simply to see each other, let us recall the miracle that love of family and friends constitutes. “God is love” we are taught and so when we gather and know that love is present, we know that God is with us. Lord, help me to always, in prayer, rejoice and give thanks for the miraculous blessings that your goodness has bestowed upon me. “Pray without ceasing, rejoice always, give thanks in all things for that is God’s will for you through Christ Jesus.” 1 Thess. 5: 16-18.
