“Luminous” Thursdays recall Jesus teaching that “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be satisfied.” Matt. 5.6. Thus, we are called to seek God and not gratify the desires of the flesh for those who seek only such pleasures “shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Gal. 5.16-21.
