“Luminous” Thursdays inspire prayer because good things happen when we commune with the Father. Jesus asked friends to join Him by themselves; in doing so, they encountered the Father and the Spirit who proclaimed “This is my beloved son with whom i am well pleased.” Matt. 17:5. In making time to join with Him in prayer, we too can recognize the beloved son- in our midst- “rise and … not be afraid.” Matt. 17: 7.
