On “Luminous” Thursdays, we are reminded to focus on the identity of Jesus of Nazareth. The Jesus of the New Testament is “My beloved son in whom [God the Father is] well pleased; listen to him.” Matt. 17: 5 (Transfiguration); Matt. 3: 17 (Baptism). As the son of the living God, we are called upon to reflect upon and accept His invitation to guide our lives through His teachings and through His presence in our hearts. Lord, grant me the grace to rely on you as the Son of God and not upon myself. Help me to live the words: “Jesus, I trust in you.”
