“Luminous” Thursday- Thy Will Be Done

The “Light” of Jesus’ humility and mercy illuminates our way this Thursday. We are called upon to meditate upon His baptism by John the Baptist. We are reminded that it was Mary, who first brought Jesus to John the Baptist while they were both still in the womb and once again now, at the River Jordan, John recognizes the divinity of Jesus. Nevertheless, Jesus submits to the baptism by John and in doing so, Jesus teaches us to humbly follow God’s will. Lord, above all, “Thy will be done- on earth as it is in heaven.”…..
