“Sorrowful” Fridays remind us of the need for Christian courage. Jesus met the hate of his accusers with loving courage while the crowd descended into hateful cowardice. Lord, in today’s culture, it becomes easy to also follow the crowd and deny You and Your teachings. I pray that you grant me the courage of Mary, to stand by You as she did- unabashedly and lovingly focused on You. Grant me a Marian courage, a Christ-like courage to remain steadfast in faith.
