Sorrowful” Fridays carry our prayers to the foot of the cross. Lord, let me stand alongside Mary and know that despite my sorrow, despite my wonder at why things happen as they do, like Mary, I must actively trust in the Father’s plan and know in my heart of hearts that His will shall be done. Lord, grant me Mary’s lively Christian faith so that I may be worthy of the promises of Christ.
