Truly “Sorrowful” is the Friday when we bemoan Jesus’ suffering and not recognize our own plight. Jesus says “do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children.” Luke 23: 28. In doing so, he affirms His divinity and compliance with the Father’s will. As for us, Lord, I pray that, above all, I be grateful for the blessings you have granted me. “Give thanks in all things, for this is God’s will for you through Christ Jesus.” 1 Thess. 5: 16-18.
