“Sorrowful” Fridays remind us of our sinfulness and our salvation. Jesus’ suffering in His Passion and Crucifixion was undertaken for us. My sinfulness is responsible for the thorns in his Crown, in the stripes on his back, the scrape and cuts in his knees from the weight of the cross that I placed on Him. But yet, He still pleaded with His Father: “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” Lord, forgive me for my weakness. Help me to focus on the salvation that You love has offered me. Grant me Your grace.
