“Sorrowful” Fridays transport our prayers directly to Calvary. As I meditate upon that milestone in human history, Lord, grant me the grace to be like St. Dismus, the Good Thief. Grant me the humility to understand my own faults and inadequacies but affirm my trust in God’s mercy- that even one as undeserving as I can hope for eternal communion. Lord, forgive my past and save my present and future.
