“Sorrowful” Fridays are a source of hope for us. As we study our Lord’s Passion, we see glimpses of ourselves: we see our lack of faith, our inflicting injury to others, our passivity in the face of evil, our doubt as to Jesus’ proper place in our lives. Our hope arises with Jesus’ lesson forgiveness on that Cross. “For God so loved the world… . ” John 3:16. May we become worthy of the promises of Christ.
