“Sorrowful” Fridays call for our conversion. “Do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children.” Luke 23: 28. We should indeed lament our failure to walk with Him, to recognize that Jesus is the way, that a life accompanied by Jesus is the path to which we are called. Lord, I pray today that I not be swept up by my earthly concerns and worries, that I instead live a life of ceaseless prayer, of communion with you. I pray that I may accept Your invitation to participate more fully in Your life.
