“Sorrowful” Fridays transport our prayers to the foot of the Cross, wherein Jesus, our Savior, bequeaths us one more treasure. Beyond His life for our eternal salvation, He grants us one more gift. With almost His last breath, He turns to His beloved mother and says “Behold your son.” John 19: 27. In doing so, He entrusts us to His first disciple and entrusts His dear Mother to us “Behold your Mother.” John 19: 26. I pray today that not only may I be made worthy of the promises of Christ but that I live a life worthy of this trust; may my life honor the Mother of Jesus Christ, my Blessed and beloved Mother.
