“Sorrowful” Tuesdays thrust us into the Passion and Crucifixion of our Lord where our hypocrisy is fully revealed. Simon is pressed to lend a hand to our Lord (Matt. 27: 32) and we recall that Jesus asks us to feed and tend to our neighbor. (Matt. 25: 40). But yet, the question arises: do we do so out of love for Him or so that we can be seen as devout and pious? Lord, finally cure me of my hypocrisy and bring me into your embrace as one who participates fully in Your life.
