“Sorrowful” Tuesdays bring our focus to the cross. Our salvation derives from that cross. As we reflect on the Lord’s sacrifice for us, we are called upon to also reflect on the crosses we bear in our daily lives. We bear those crosses but our redemptive suffering does not arise from that suffering but rather from Jesus’ suffering. Lord, grant me the strength to endure my crosses with Christ-like dignity.
