“Sorrowful” Tuesday- To See Beyond My Own Self

“Sorrowful” Tuesdays begin our days in prayer. Meditating upon the Passion of Christ also invites us to examine Simon’s role in the Passion. Simon assists Jesus in carrying of the Cross and in doing so, encourages all of us not only to physically assist those within our reach but to pray for and empathize with those outside of our physical reach or beyond our current vision. Lord, help me not to merely focus on my own need for prayer but rather to reach beyond my own self and pray for others, for those in need……………….May is the month of Mary- to honor Our Blessed Mother.
