“Sorrowful” Tuesdays present the opportunity to look directly into the heart of Jesus Himself. As He stands there inhumanely nailed to the Cross, He conveys forgiveness (“Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do” Lk 23:34) and He also bequeaths us His love for His mother, to love as our mother. (“Behold your Mother.” Jn 19:27). Lord, may we celebrate the love of Jesus for Mary and relish her special role in salvation history.
